So I think about the lack of lifeboats. Lifeboats are a safety feature of a ship. A disaster as horrible as the sinking of the Titanic certainly led to safety improvements on ships. Perhaps there's a trend there, a theme that goes beyond the example of the Titanic. There must be other disasters, not just ships sinking but other things, that led to some kind of safety improvements.
